Final Piece: Butterfly

My final piece got inspired by a butterfly image I had taken in high school. I used watercolors for this piece.

The change in Cameras

The first camera is a Pinhole camera (Kodak Brownie), the second one is the Polaroid camera, the third camera is digital camera, and the fourth is a DSLR camera. I did watercolor for all four images and I outlined it with sharpie.

Duck

My realistic drawing is my duck. I gave it shadows and highlights to show value.

Mix Media

The first one is Analogous colors, the second one is monochromatic, the third one is triadic and the fourth one is complementary. The first one I used acrylic pouring, I sprayed water and used gold spray paint. The second one I mixed red with white to get the different shades of red. I painted each shade on the paper and then when I was done painting I put the clear rapper to create the illusion of leaves. So then I outline the lines it made on the paper with black sharpie. On the third one I used pouring medium with the golden paint. Then I removed it from the clear plastic and I put Gesso on the wooden panel. I then put it on top of the Gesso and when it dried I color the background orange. The fourth one I used Elasto Pacth to create the texture in the blue area. After it dried I painted it blue. I put masking tape near the corners. Then I put Gesso so when I painted over the wood panel so it wouldn't be transparent when I painted over it.

Giraffe

I first drew the giraffe on my sketch pad and then I transfer it into a canvas. I used sharpies with alcohol for the giraffe and the background is blue with watercolor.

Lion

For this drawing I wanted to do a geometric drawing for my black and white drawing. I first drew it with pencil then I outline it with a black sharpie. I use acrylic ink to darken the lion's hair.

Tulips

For this drawing I drew the tulips first and added the diagonal lines on the petals and horizontal lines on the stems. Then I did watercolor for the backgrounds.
